Setonite (African Bloodstone)

Setonite, commonly known as African Bloodstone, is a variety of chalcedony and is closely related to the more commonly known bloodstone, which traditionally displays dark green jasper with red inclusions of iron oxides. African Bloodstone, or Setonite, however, often presents a slightly different appearance with a deeper, more opaque green and less pronounced red spots.
