Caribbean Calcite
Caribbean Calcite (also known as Blue Aragonite–Calcite blend) is a dreamy, ocean-coloured stone that combines soft blue calcite with white and sandy-beige aragonite. It became popular only recently due to its serene appearance and calming energy, often associated with tropical waters and peaceful states of mind.
Appearance:
Caribbean Calcite displays light aqua blue, turquoise, pale teal, white, and tan tones in soft, cloudy banding or flowing patterns. It often looks like a beach scene frozen in stone — blue “water,” white “foam,” and sandy beige “shoreline.”
Where It’s Found:
This material comes primarily from Pakistan, where the unique calcite–aragonite formation occurs naturally.
Rarity:
Considered moderately rare — it is only mined in limited quantities from specific deposits in Pakistan, and high-grade pieces with strong blue colour and clean contrast are especially sought after.
